Submit Now: Emergency Food Support Fund
Deadline: 31-Mar-2026
The Neath Port Talbot has an exciting opportunity to tackle food poverty with £74,766 of funding provided by the Welsh Government.
This initiative is aimed at supporting those who are struggling with food insecurity, while also addressing the underlying causes of food poverty in the community.
The funding is designed to help vulnerable people access the food and resources they need. By supporting activities that prevent or reduce food poverty, the programme seeks to create lasting solutions and improve the wellbeing of residents across the area.
Local charities, schools, and constituted voluntary or community organisations are eligible to apply for the fund, provided they operate on a not-for-profit basis and have a bank account in the organisation’s name requiring at least two authorised signatures. The focus is on non-statutory activities that can make a real difference in reducing food insecurity.
This opportunity offers local organisations the chance to make a meaningful impact, providing immediate support for those in need while also addressing the long-term challenges of food poverty. It is a chance for communities to come together and build stronger, more resilient support systems for their residents.
