Program Structure and Learning Components
Duration and Format
- 12-month structured learnership
- Located at a Senwes Grainlink silo in the North West province
- Onsite, full-time participation required
- Includes both practical and theoretical components
Practical Exposure
Learners will gain hands-on experience in:
- Silo operations
- Grain receiving and dispatch procedures
- Grain handling and quality assurance
- Operational administration
- Exposure to various grain commodities (e.g., maize, sunflower, wheat, soya)
Accredited Training
Participants will complete formal, accredited learning modules in:
- Grain grading
- Essential workplace skills
- Occupational health and safety
- Basic technical and operational competencies
Financial Support
- Monthly stipend (salary) provided for the full duration
- Market-related compensation
- Contract position lasting 9–12 months
Eligibility Requirements
Mandatory Criteria
Applicants must:
- Have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Be 18–25 years old
- Demonstrate an interest in agriculture or technical fields
- Be willing to work in a silo environment, including physical and technical tasks
- Be able to work within a structured, supervised learning environment
