Duration and Format

Practical Exposure

Learners will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Silo operations
  • Grain receiving and dispatch procedures
  • Grain handling and quality assurance
  • Operational administration
  • Exposure to various grain commodities (e.g., maize, sunflower, wheat, soya)

Accredited Training

Participants will complete formal, accredited learning modules in:

  • Grain grading
  • Essential workplace skills
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Basic technical and operational competencies

Financial Support

  • Monthly stipend (salary) provided for the full duration
  • Market-related compensation
  • Contract position lasting 9–12 months

Eligibility Requirements

Mandatory Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Be 18–25 years old
  • Demonstrate an interest in agriculture or technical fields

  • Be able to work within a structured, supervised learning environment
