Stanbic GreenTech Accelerator to Empower Youth- and Women-Led Green Enterprises in Uganda

The Stanbic GreenTech Accelerator is a transformative initiative jointly implemented by Stanbic Business Incubator Ltd (SBIL) and the Embassy of France in Uganda to empower youth- and women-led enterprises driving innovation in Uganda’s green economy.
The programme focuses on Renewable Energy, Sustainable Agriculture, Waste Management, Circular Economy, Green Mobility, Water and Health, and Natural Resource Management.
Designed to support growth-stage businesses, the accelerator provides a three-month period of intensive training followed by continuous mentorship and support. It specifically targets enterprises located in the Hoima District and the Kampala Metropolitan Area that demonstrate capacity, strategy, and potential to scale their environmental and social impact. Eligible applicants include legally registered, youth- or women-led enterprises operating in Uganda that are active in one of the targeted green sectors, have been operational for at least two years, and possess a minimum annual turnover of UGX 50 million.
This collaboration between SBIL and the Embassy of France in Uganda represents a strategic effort to strengthen the country’s green innovation ecosystem by enabling entrepreneurs to develop sustainable solutions that contribute to environmental protection and economic growth.
