Job Title: Quality Check Officer (Rice Industry)

Locations: Lagos and Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Quality Check Officer will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring that all rice products meet the company’s quality standards from raw material to final packaging.
• The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to travel between company locations in Lagos and Port Harcourt as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of rice production and packaging lines to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Test and analyze rice samples for moisture content, impurities, and grain uniformity.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (NAFDAC, SON, and other relevant standards).
• Identify and report any deviation from quality specifications and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and prepare periodic quality assurance reports.
• Work closely with production supervisors to ensure continuous improvement in product quality.
• Monitor storage and handling processes to prevent contamination or spoilage.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Travel between Lagos and Port Harcourt to conduct quality checks at various operational sites.

Qualifications & Requirements

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Food Science, Microbiology, Agriculture, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food or rice processing industry.
• Good knowledge of quality control processes and food safety management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently between Lagos and Port Harcourt.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Saturday (occasional weekend work as needed).
• Field travel between Lagos and Port Harcourt based on production needs.
